Verdict: A funny little machine which likes to produce Red Trails as part of the game plan. Can be moderately profitable.

Special Note:

This is by no means a definitive guide to playing HIP HOPPER, more of basic game plan. This looks to be a collecting game and can produce a profit is a RED trail is produced early on. There are all sorts of rumours for it, such as free wins and RED trail rejection but these have yet to be proved.

General:

Feature Entry -

Is gained via three dollar signs anywhere in the reel window or a reel win. If you get 3 dollar signs on the winline the Super Feature is activated (the RED TRAIL). The machine can also do Red Trails from Reel Wins.

BONUS ON REEL:



There is a BONUS over printed on the one of the fruits on the middle reel. This usually gives the feature, hold it down incase of RESPINS.

Positive Signs from Reels:

A full machine is useful, can play well if not full. Look out for lots of them spins, bonuses and frequent trail entry.

Nudges becoming available for reel setups to advance along the feature scroller. ie. Auto nudge win in to move the cash equivalent position on the feature.

The Feature:

A very basic feature board with 3 HI-LO's to advance up the scrolling trail. Ace have built in guaranteed win feature where any successful gamble on a frog activates one of three arrows. Once all arrows are lit the, each successful gamble on a frog position adds to the Cash Note stack. Similar to BFM Fever. However this one is poor and only usual gets to a quid, then you die and whoo hooo you have a guaranteed quid in the bank! Ignore this...

The feature is made of CASH, NUDGES and FEATURES and the idea is to strategically gamble up the trail to get to desirable feature such as the £25 + Note Repeat. However this will take consistent gambling (i.e. forcing) and this is not a game to be forced!!!

Feature Bonuses:

A bonus is awarded via an overlaid bonus symbol appearing on the hi-lo gamble tracker and offers bonuses such as No Lose, Xtra Life, Reel Steppa etc.

Features:

Not to sure on the majority of them, most of the lower ones pay between £2 and £5. If the machine is buzzing the feature values do improve.

Invincible Mode (IM)

Obtained from 3 dollar symbols on the Win line or kicks on from a reel win. Logo flashes RED. Gamble straight to the £25 + Note Repeat.

Playing Method:

Very basic playing method is this, and should not cost to much. Play for trails and look out for positive signs, gamble to get a win in the range of £2 - £5 (from features or Cash wins), you'll get a gut feeling when you are gonna die! Keep taking small wins to build up a small bank, you may find your running at a loss for a while. Keep playing this way and the machine will chuck a Red Trail in. Gamble to the £25 + Note Repeat. On most occasions it should repeat for a £10, but it sometimes does less. Provided your not too far in you should show a moderate profit. £30 - 40 in for £50 - 60 out.
